Katherine (Katie) Bishop is a lens-based artist originally from Saratoga Springs, New York, and holds a BFA in Photography from Pratt Institute. While there she worked as a Gallery Exhibitions Attendant, studied abroad in Berlin, and contributed to the Institute’s student-run newspaper. Katie fell in love with the nature New York has to offer after moving back upstate, and their work explores dynamics between the landscape and photographing oneself. They use analog mediums such as pinhole cameras and cyanotypes to create their work, and enjoy experimenting with photographic processes. When she’s not photographing, Katie loves to spend time with her family, practice yoga, and cook.
