Albina Cook is a Visitor Services Associate at Art Omi. She lives and works in Albany, NY. She received her BFA in painting from SUNY New Paltz and is working on her painting MFA from the University at Albany. She makes large, emotional, abstract skyscape installations using various media such as: oil paint, encaustics, crayon wax, and yarn. Her work has been shown in New Paltz, Ghent, and Troy, NY. When she’s not in the studio she is learning, teaching, spending time with family, walking in nature with her dog Bonzo, and taking sky pictures.
