Summer Opening: Nayland Blake | Tschabalala Self
Celebrate the opening of Nayland Blake’s “Haunt”: Being the Folly of One Victorya Spectre (2026) and Tschabalala Self’s Pioneer (2023) at Art Omi on Saturday, June 27 from 3–6 PM.
The opening will feature two newly commissioned performances:
M. Lamar, renowned for work across opera, metal, performance, video, sculpture, and installation, will debut the performance AURA EXTRACTION, in dialogue with Blake's project.
DANIRO—Mistress of the Night and Club Diva—is a defining force in New York City's underground music and nightlife scene and will premiere the new performance Up Against the Wind, featuring artist-harpist Cassie Watson Francillon (@cassandharp), in response to Self's installation.
Free public shuttles will run from Pocketbook Hudson to Art Omi from 3:30–7:30 PM on June 27. (Full schedule below)

Get up to 𝕊𝕙𝕖𝕟𝕒𝕟𝕚𝕘𝕒𝕟𝕤, an afterparty celebrating Art Omi’s projects with Nayland Blake and Tschabalala Self, presented in collaboration with Pocketbook Hudson and Elephant Magazine from 8:30 PM–Late.
The evening will feature a performance by legend Bibbe Hansen, readings by the inimitable Peter McGough, Isaiah Davis, Whitney Mallett, Shanekia McIntosh, and Alex Jovanovich. Hosted by Mistress of Ceremonies, Dusty Shoulders.
Dancing to follow with DJ sets by Ms. Carrie Stacks and Skype Williams in Ether.

All aboard the Art Shuttle, a complimentary service offered in collaboration with Pocketbook Hudson, connecting downtown Hudson to the vibrant arts communities of the Hudson Valley.
On June 27, the shuttle will run on a route from the Hudson Amtrak Station, then make a stop at Pocketbook Hudson before arriving at Art Omi for the Summer Opening.
