Through a competitive jury process, residents are invited to attend Art Omi's residencies at no cost to themselves, except travel expenses. Art Omi offers residents the time and space to hone their own craft while cultivating a vibrant community of artists from around the globe.

Comfortable, beautiful lodgings and dedicated workspaces are nestled among the rolling meadowlands and woodlands of Art Omi’s 120-acre campus, located in New York’s scenic Hudson Valley, two-and-a-half hours north of New York City. Residents are nourished with fresh, prepared meals and immersed in a dynamic creative ecosystem flourishing at the intersection of nature, art, and architecture in our Sculpture & Architecture Park.

📐 Art Omi: Architecture is the first residency program of its kind in the United States, inviting early- to mid-career architects from across the world to develop their work. Art Omi: Architecture nurtures experimentation in environs that offer a singular blend of rural quiet and cultural stimulation. Residents present their work in an intimate critique setting at the end of the residency period.

Residency Dates
May 28–June 15, 2026

🎨 Art Omi: Artists invites artists from all over the world, representing a wide diversity of artistic styles and practices, to gather, collaborate, and share ideas. Concentrated time for studio work is balanced with cultural exchange and critical appraisal, fostering deep creative and professional connections in a lively social setting. The Art Omi: Artists Visitors Program enables residents to have conversations with visiting art critics, curators, gallerists, and prominent artists. Direct engagement with the New York City art world is unmatched by similar residency programs. The residency culminates in the Open Studios event, offering the public a glimpse of what artists have created during their time at Art Omi.

Residency Dates

🎶 Art Omi: Music welcomes musicians, composers, and sound-makers working in all genres and hailing from around the globe for a uniquely collaborative music-making residency.  Art Omi: Music encourages its participants to share ideas, perform each other’s works, and write music for one another, while exploring their own musical vision and broadening their artistic and cultural horizons. Informal concerts invite the public to experience the shared creative process and artistic journey of the residents.

Residency Dates

📚 Art Omi: Writers hosts published authors of every type of literature for residencies throughout the spring and autumn. All text-based projects—fiction, nonfiction, theater, film, poetry, etc.—are eligible. The program’s strong international emphasis highlights global literary voices and sparks cultural cross-pollination. Daytime is reserved for writing and quiet activities, while evenings are more communal. A program of weekly visits brings guests from the New York publishing community. Noted editors, agents, and book scouts gather to share dinner and conversation on both creative and practical subjects. Readings welcome the public to experience finished and in-process work by residents.
