The first institutional solo exhibition of Harold Stevenson in New York, Less Real Than My Routine Fantasy will explore Stevenson’s unflinching commitment to the sensual for more than five decades, and insistence on placing his paintings in the public sphere in a pre-Stonewall era.

KINLAW AT ART OMI

PERFORMANCE 3:30 PM

Continuing her history of ambitious performance works, artist Kinlaw will premiere a newly commissioned performance titled FALL RISK on the occasion of the opening of Harold Stevenson: Less Real Than My Routine Fantasy on June 28 at 3:30 PM.

Challenging traditional performance spaces, Kinlaw has a taste for unconventional and dangerous venues. From speeding through the Los Angeles River while strapped to the bed of a pickup truck to scaling car lifts in a NYC Pay-to-Park lot, Kinlaw dodges hazards with expertise, all while delivering mesmerizing vocals.
