Architecture Opening

Join us for openings of EXIT Architecture: Speculations for the Hereafter, and InConstruction: Hariri + Hariri, the inaugural exhibition in this new series focusing on architecture and design projects, by contemporary architects presented publicly for the first time. EXIT Architecture is a speculative look at designing for the afterlife in all its potential architectural and design forms, and new ways of marking our exit, and was curated by Warren James, and Julia van den Hout + Kyle May.

Refreshments will be served, with remarks from the exhibiting architects, curators, and Warren James, Director of Art Omi: Architecture.

Join us on Saturday mornings for safe exploration of the Sculpture & Architecture Park and art-making for kids ages 5-12. Weekly workshops host a maximum of twelve children, with a minimum of two teachers. This program will be held almost entirely outdoors with art-making occurring under the open-air Education Pavilions.

Join us for one or more weeks of Columbia County's most popular arts camp for preschoolers! This program is limited to eight children and two adult teachers. Artgarten occurs under a large, open-air tent with excursions throughout the Sculpture & Architecture park. Daily activities include two art projects using a variety of media, nature exploration in the sculpture and architecture park, open play, story time, and swimming as well as snack and lunch times, and morning/afternoon circle meetings. With contemporary art and architecture and the expansive natural landscape as a backdrop, sky's the limit for what we can dream up and create together!

Join us for one or more weeks of Columbia County's most popular arts camp! This program engages kids ages 6-12 in a variety of creative adventures that include drawing, painting, sculpture, performance, music, nature art, and more. Through self and guided exploration, hands-on learning and making experiences, collaboration, and critical thinking, children gain new skills and confidence in the power of their own ideas. With contemporary art and architecture and the expansive natural landscape as a backdrop, sky's the limit for what we can dream up and create together!
