With a diverse group of dancers from all over the world, the Art Omi: Dance Salon is a forum for the residents to share their individual work with the public before exhibiting their collaborative projects later in the month. It is an intimate evening of live performance set in the studio spaces, and gives context to individual artist's work at the start of the residency program. The event is free and open to the public, with no RSVP required.
Gather in the Newmark Gallery on Thursday evenings April 18 - June 6 to sketch, draw, and render from a live male or female nude model. Open to artists of all skill levels ages 16+, each two-hour sessions is self-guided and intended to provide time and space for members of our local community to share in the exploration of this traditional art practice.
Artgarten is a special program designed with our youngest artists in mind! Occurring at the same time and place as Camp Omi, Artgarten allows 4 and 5 year olds to explore, create, play, and grow in a developmentally appropriate environment alongside experienced and energetic caregivers. Children must be 4 years old at the time of the program.

Swimming occurs everyday (weather permitting) on site in an in-ground pool, enclosed in the backyard of Ledig House. There are no formal swim lessons, just open time where children can play in and out of the water as they wish. Two certified, experienced lifeguards are present at all times. Children are limited to the steps and shallow end of the pool (3ft.) marked by a floating rope. Artgarten staff join children in the water. Feel free to provide your child with any personal floating accessory (e.g. ‘swimmies’, vest) that they feel comfortable with. If your child is a NON-SWIMMER, he/she will join us at the pool where there will be other activities, including a ‘kiddie pool’ or sprinkler monitored by a counselor. Swimming and Aquatics procedures meet the New York State Department of Health Children’s Camp requirements and standards.
Cancellations made prior to June 15th are eligible for a full refund. After June 15th, a $100 cancellation fee per each child registered will apply.
