The Fields Sculpture Park

Join us at Omi for a free afternoon of Halloween fun! We'll provide art-making, hayrides, and a candy hunt amongst the sculptures. Come in your favorite costume, craft your own treat bag, and enjoy cider and popcorn in the park.

Writers Omi Reading

For a one-night-only event, writers and translators in residence at Writers Omi will read from their works at KGB, the Soviet-era themed bar at 85 E. 4th Street in New York City. Join us for an unforgettable evening of literary talent by the likes of authors whose cumulative credits span the globe.

Co-hosted by OR Books, Writers Omi is pleased to present an evening of conversation  on Barney Rosset's book, My Life in Publishing and How I Fought Censorship. This book features German publisher, Heinrich Maria Ledig-Rowohlt, for whom the Writers Omi program is named.

Saturday Children's Workshops

Every Saturday
September 10, 2016 - June 2017

$12 per child or $20 for two
Drop off/Pick up at the Benenson Visitors Center

Join us on Saturday mornings for this popular workshop for young artists ages 4 1/2 - 12! Based on a weekly theme and inspired by artworks in The Fields, Architecture Omi, and the Visitors Center Gallery, each workshop includes an outdoor adventure and a hands-on artmaking activity. Led by teaching artists, children are divided into two groups by age and participate in developmentally appropriate projects that encourage curiosity, experimentation, and creative thinking through a variety of materials and experiences.

Café Omi

Weekends with full lunch menu & weekdays with drinks and snacks, 11 AM - 4 PM 

Café Omi, located in the Visitors Center at The Fields Sculpture Park, serves seasonal lunch specials, soups, salads and sweets. Our menu rotates weekly and is carefully craſted by our talented local chefs. Café Omi is proud to offer the freshest seasonal ingredients and produce sourced from local farms and purveyors in Columbia County.
